3 preparation
EDITORIt is produced by esterification of ethanol trichloroacetic acid. Trichloroacetic acid, anhydrous ethanol and sulfuric acid were heated for reflux for 6h. After cooling, pour into water to separate the ester layer, neutralize with 5-10% sodium carbonate solution, wash with water, add anhydrous calcium chloride and dry overnight. The finished product is filtered and then distilled. The yield is 75%.
4 Apply
EDITORIt is used in organic synthesis, as a medium boiling point solvent and raw material for spices, and also as a pharmaceutical raw material.
